I was thrilled to be a part of the 2021 Breyerfest Best Customs Contest! It was the first and only year competitors from some other countries other than just the USA were allowed to be a part of this very challenging contest, showcasing most of the hobbies very best artists, fiercely competing for the top spot in each division. I entered the ”Excellence in Finishwork” Division, where competitors pick a Breyer model horse, and repaint it to the best of their ability, and much to my surprise I was awarded 1st Place out of many exquisite entries. This is the most prestigious contest our hobby offers, so to be awarded the top spot with ”Mulholland” in my division was a dream come true.

The lucky winners of each division receive a very exclusive Breyer ”Prize Model”. For 2021 the model was ”Noir” ~ there are only 5 of these models produced. This year as luck would have it, the Prize Model was based on the Breyer I was asked to decorate for the Premier Club in 2019, Emerson! So winning this contest was an *extra special* memory I will never forget!
